My yakimas are nearing 10 years old and are as good as new!
I've also been able to put them on 3 different vehicles by changing only one component each time (not cheap mind you)!!

I've used a wakeboarding/waterskiing vest in the past made by O'Neil, and although it has a warning in large letters that it is not an approved life jacket, it does offer extra floatation. However, now that I've started wearing a waist harness instead of a seat harness, I can't get everything to fit...

Thanks, MF4, I was hoping for something more local. I doubt the board was damaged during transport, it's not like it fell out of the truck or anything!
