Sad day

We will miss you Andrei, and never forget you. Sail on where ever you are buddy - always go for it. The tears hurt right now, but I am glad to have known you and shared the times that we did. Windsurfing has brought so many of us together, and your contributions and friendship with so many of us has...

Marine Tex Rules

Easy, cheap, durable, and despite Downwind Dave's concern re leaks, if you sand the scar edge for a good bond (320 grit), wipe with alcohol (to clean/dry) and marine Tex it, you are good to go. I learned a good trick from a Kus post a few yrs ago: put a piece of Saran wrap over the goo, and then you...

Another few shillings for the cause....

BWD has not only provided a missing service to all wind nuts here, but he has given us a community (as wierd as it is) that we never would have known. Thanks Dave for your Vision and perserverence. I'd for one like to thank you !!!!

Roland Road on Nanoose Bay

Probably the best place to go for a SE when you are learning, as long as he tide is above 3m. If it's 5.0 or greater at CB, it will always be 5.5-6.0 at Rowland road. Nice rigging area out of the wind. Walk upwind (even in the water) 100 yards to launch. Have fun! :D

Silver Pendant CB Parkinglot

A silver pendant with an 'oceanic', possibly Baja theme was recently found in the mud in the CB parking lot. Probably lost on the last big CB day. PM with a description to reclaim your treasure. :?:

Reliance on Instincts

What would we have done in the face of these perils before the weather station? Must have been a dangerous world before..... :) Probably the weather station was hit by a gust, and in the convening seconds, the resonant whip on the whippy Al post forced the meter against the tail of the gust, multipl...

Pee

I hear that sharks are actually more attracted to pee than blood, for what that'd be worth. Maybe a drysuit IS a good idea after all?
