Any chance of videoing the clinic and putting it on the OR website?
Or just put on youtube?

I cannot make the trip to the lake.

If you are really that keen to camp in the rain for three days, why go to Nitinat?. Columbia Beach has reasonable SE forecast for the next 2-3 days
and camping near there with much better facilities. Check it out.

Sounds like the crown foreshore is getting growded. How much upwind? All the way to the river? Need a bit more explanation than what sounds like "My beach, I'm here first with all my trailers and jetskis, you go somewhere else."

At risk of assuming this is a serious question.
Wind always from the north in the season (winter).
Therefore wind from the left (port tack) heading out from the beach.

In my experience most windsurfers/kiters head to the west coast of Baja when the east coast clouds over and the wind dies. And then they wonder why there is no wind on the west coast! For sure there is less wind on the west coast, but there are spots west of La Paz that have swell with wind. Just go...

Cool video. Good to see Josh from Cleanline Surf Shop still hitting it.
That part of the Oregon Coast from Columbia River south to Seaside has alot of good summer kiting locations (flatwater, semi-exposed, and open ocean), although not as windy in the summer as further south.

I am always reminded how much beginners to both windsurfing and kiting have to learn not to out-muscle or out-horse their rig. Over twenty years ago I tried to teach my younger bother to windsurf in knee deep water in Fiji. He was twice as strong as me but could not get it that you only need a light...

Yup, I guess it is difficult kiting "Down Under".
The sun is in the "wrong" hemisphere and
how do you keep from falling off the earth?
I lived in NZ for 4 years and never really got used to it.

I used to windsurf Pat Bay alot in the late 80's. Especially liked summer SE at 15-20 knots near the end of the IOS docks. Great flat water speed sailing. No problem with the jets approaching from NW. But then in the early 90's more commuter float planes started using the Pat Bay airport docks. Once...

The Mako King (MK) has been a really good board for me. We have survived numerous saltwater calamities and survival situations. Like "Wilson" the volleyball in the movie Castaway, MK's absence on my recent ocean journeys has been deeply missed. I know we will have to move on some day, but ...
