Sorry to hear the grub screws failed on you. That is disappointing. Udder only used his once for a short time, so not sufficient testing in that case. WSF has used his a fair bit and not reported any problem to date, but time will tell with regard to his. If they are to be considered suitable they s...

I have the firemove 110 ltr. Dido KC7777 results. I have slimmed down from my 235lbs to 210 lbs but at both weights it was very stable for me, only now I think I could uphaul it if i had to. I am running a much smaller fin (24cm) than what it comes with stock, even with my 6.0, just the 24cm. Trucks...

Industrial Plastics in Nanaimo has Breather Cloth, Dacron Peel Ply and Perforated Plastic Peel Ply in stock as of Monday. They had one piece of divinycell left 2'x4' from when I got mine in November, but they will bring it in if they are out. Industrial Plastics has several outlets on the island.

Lots of taper sanding!!! No but joints!!! Also, I do cut it on a taper to start with to reduce the amount of sanding. Only carbon in the rails of that JP board. Haven't worked on a full carbon board yet. Only divinycell and divinycell/wood. Good point. Guess your mini sup was carbon. I suppose the c...

What have you been wearing for protection while working on the board? I freaked myself out last month when I was sanding carbon and then after reading about what can happen if it gets into your blood stream. Just the cheap 3M dust masks with the wire nose seal. Fortunately next to no sanding requir...

nice work, looks really good. i like how you ditched the unnecessary inserts, very pro. so is it just me or do you see a disproportionate number of JP boards when you are looking up deck delam and repair? :D  Well I haven't personally seen them, but most of the deck repairs on websites seem t...

Deck Delam. Rebuild http://1drv.ms/1Mv5bNM

Pictures Here http://1drv.ms/1Mv5bNM This board had a major deck delam. between the divinycell and the eps. My theory is that it was caused by a manufacturing defect allowing copious amounts of water to enter the board in fairly large amounts. (may have been just hard sailing, but I like my theory :...

The toe-in K4 measured on production boards is very small and in some cases 0 or nearly undetectable. K4 say that they feel toe-in is very important and will gladly sell fins with toe-in built into the fin (1, 2 or 2.8 deg). This is to enable someone with a production board to get toe-in if they fee...

Mini Tuttle would be better with the following considerations.
- Finding mini Tuttle boxes. Only found 1 place in Europe that sold them on line.
- more invasive thru board installation. Patch on top of board and match graphics after conversion.

IMHO it's not the boxes that will be problematic, they'll hold the lateral loads fine, it's the fins. Standard FCS fins made for a surfboard don't have the right shape and are too flimsy for a windsurf board powered and planing. But if you can buy windsurf fins with FCS tabs then you're set. Nanmoo...
