Deja vu?

Post by winddoctor »

http://www.windsurfjournal.com/frontblo ... ANGUAGES=2

Sure looks quite a bit like Tom Mc Gruder's Wind Weapon from the eighties minus the mast section. Doesn't seem like they improved on it much either. Same dorky stance and awkward flying characteristics. Wait a minute, that sounds just like my windsurfing!

Look out kiters, the CRAZEEE sport of "Wave Warrioring" is a comin'. Them skies is a gonna be crowded soon.

I note that they don't show in the video what happens to it when you let go of the bar/boom. I think I saw a leash thingy behind someone, but do you have to swim for the rig and the board independently I wonder? Betcha you can't drag around looking for the board the way kiters can. Looked like almost no control in the air.

I think the old word for something like this was "abomination". All the worst parts of windsurfing and kiting combined, without the performance edge of either!

KITEWING

Post by GWIND »

:D :D -The kitewing is coming to a lake near you this summer. We have the rights for western Canada and we are planing widespread rentals this spring. Nitnat will be a perfect spot, because it has such great coverage on bigwavedave and other media. We have worked out the rescue boat problem with our new platform boat. EVERYTHING HAS COME TOGETHER. More news later on complete program. GW.
