Ocean Rodeo/Windydevil Crew dominate Nitinat Windfest race!

Post by EvanOR »

We had sun and wind for four days - more photos coming. Ocean Rodeo/Windydevil dominated the course race. There were 58 riders on the start line, and it was a fantastic race. Around 15-18 knots, clear skies, and smooth water.

1st place - Richard Myerscough, the head honcho of OR - riding a 2009 12m Rise and a Windydevil custom race 5'10.

2nd place - SF hero Stefaans Viljoen, also riding an 09 12m Rise and a Windydevil 5'10.

3rd place - yours truly, riding an 09 8m Rise and a 5'4 Windydevil custom race.

Ocean Rodeo designer Ross Harrington, took 10th place on a 10m Rise and 5'10 Windydevil Custom.

Carl " the man " Davison out of Portland took top honors in the Mako Class, and placed 11th overall. He was riding an 09 12m Rise.

Erin Locossco finished 15th (12m Rise, Windydevil custom) after starting about a minute and half late. I guess learning to ride a foil board before the start was not a great idea..... :)

Contact Windydevil if you'd like to place an order or get more detail on the boards.

The 5'4 I placed 3rd on is for sale in Victoria. It is about two weeks old and retails for $875 USD. I will sell this one for $750 including the board bag and upgraded fins. Please email at if you want it.

A huge thanks to the organizers for pulling off such a fantastic event - the best I have ever attended anywhere!

Cheers,
