nah... it was $75 plus some other fee plus tax plus tip for the scale guy etc.... ended up $100us...or sometimes return was free....don't plan on that one tho...still great news....now I just need to conquer flight anxiety a bit morewinddude wrote:... it was only $75 with alaska before!

Surfers have always got the shaft from airlines, windsurfers too. It's great to see a more reasonable policy.
Kiters have had an interesting little game. Many airlines let golf clubs fly free, so if you can fit your kite gear in something looks like a golf bag, you can sneak it in for free too maybe.
Funny thing about the alaska announcement: golf clubs are listed in the "now for $25" list. So, looks like the golfers will pay a little more, in return for us paying a little less. Nice.
