Hi Baisjohn, Just so you know there are two screened raw sewage outfalls around Dallas Road/ Cook Street, (Clover Point Outfall and Macauley Point Outfall), and so the water is filled with "you know what" as it is NOT treated. I never kite there anymore after someone I know got meningitis ...

Totally agree with Kus. The lake maybe warm, but if you are in the water for an extended period of time, warm to the touch soon becomes cool or cold, plus the wind can be cold even on warm sunny days. Not good for decision making or trying to get to shore. Better safe than sorry, especially if you a...

The road is pretty bad after you pass Cowichan Lake until the junction going either to Port or Nitinaht. It's better than a week and a half ago, but still bad.

Mystic make nice suits specific for kiteboarding. They have drain holes in the calf area so your suit doesn't get swollen legs full of water. Legs full of water is not exactly conducive to moving efficiently or your comfort. I have a 5/3 for the ocean year round with under thermals and a 3/2 for war...

So taxpayers should pay an extra approximately $300 million dollars so the sewage treatment isn't in a scenic location where all the infrastructure is already located? Ya, that makes lots of sense. The pipes are already there so lets use them. Besides the plan is to put the treatment plant undergrou...

I would urge everyone to NOT sign the petition to save Clover Point. If anyone thinks sewage is not damaging the ocean off of Victoria and surrounding municipalities then watch this video and read the information below it on the Youtube page: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNR1dfcJn30 Personally, I...

I always wear an impact vest and always will. If you get hucked then you will at least not be as trashed as if you didn't have an impact vest. If you get one that fits well you shouldn't even notice you are wearing it. I know it has saved my ribs in the past. If you just want to ride back and forth ...
