Okay, taking the 8,10m rises to Parksville this weekend with a friend. Hopefully a light NW will be there as well. Get some time on the beach away from the crowds to get used to flying them. Looking forward to more nice weather and lesson time. Wahoo!!

Hey W247, Yes, that was a good unit but it had it's problems. Got water inside twice. Both times because of high speed wipeouts. It was only waterproof to 3 meter or close to it, it was the foretrex 101 or something like that. Garmin sent me a new one each time so it was super great customer service...

As the wind comes from the same direction mostly something mostly across the wind or upwind/downwind etc. Maybe a finish line that is close to the shore for spectators like the tall wharf with the cam on it..?...
