Windfoiling

Slightly off topic but... Winddoc do you think the HS1850 would cross over to windfoiling as a dual purpose wing or would it be too slow? Armstrong doesn't seem very interested in windfoiling, too bad as as crossover wing would take some of the bite out of the pocket book and their foils look sexy

I have the 84&76 I think it's a great combo for a big guy. I can chase puffs and float through lulls on the 84+48 and then when it gets windy the 76+42 is super smooth and can take the speed without getting squirrelly. Definitely takes noticeably more wind / board speed to get the 76 flying. I'v...

84

AJ I have a similar foil setup, Dialer 145L and Infinity 84. I can tell you what's working for me... The difference in setups is that I use a short (SUP) fuse and the larger 48cm rear wing (which mounts tips down). I've haven't tried it with the 42cm rear wing yet but I did play around with the long...

So what's the deal with this new secret spot? Is the duck chopping really that much better there than say Ross Bay?

In town for the weekend, Dave can you add a bit more colour to the forecast page please?

The 84 is lifty. Are you using the 42cm rear stab? I have the larger 48cm, would love to compare. I'll likely pickup a smaller front wing next season but I was on the 84 in 22-24knots with a 4.7 and it was totally manageable.

Turning is not on the menu at the moment so I can't comment on jibing. I've heard the 84 makes it easy. I overheard Tony Logoz of Slingshot saying to "flip on the kiss" as in briefly touch down as you flip the sail for stability. He said eventually you'll just stop doing the kiss. He also ...

I have way too many boards right now and they're all in my car! I could see the foil setup replacing a lot of lightwind gear.

I want to try the flyers. Let's go to Nitnat so I can use yours. What foill have you got?

Thanks for the update. Bringing the trailer in next week. My buddy at work went 3 weeks ago in his wife's 2016 Audi Q3. He straddled the rock pile the grader made and heard a bang😲 . Had to get towed to youbou and then the insurance company barged it back to vancouver. 18k damage, transm...
