I've only been twice but both times were at the beginning of April and the wind and waves have been good.Joostio wrote:I just started saving for Maui 2016. What is April like for sailing? I've only gone in Oct before.
I used this post when planning my first trip top get a little insight into the weather.

One week to go, can't wait!
have you seen the Euro scourge at H when it's small? All the world wants to claim they have sailed there so the flock is on, it's a snaking, bobbing pylon nightmare Kanaha may then be the better bet Good winds, enviousnanmoo wrote:Forecast looks pretty windy so far, small swell though so this could mean a lot of Ho'okipa/Lanes days and not a lot of Kanaha or crowd-dud-harbour which is fine by me!
Wish less, sail more!!

Nanmoo, you don't have to worry that much, the map shows that some individuals like 13363 don't spend ALL of their time patrolling the breaks on the sailing venues on the north shore - occasionally she goes north to deep water, or the other side of Maui. Not often, but sometimes. I'm sure you'll be there during those times
Oops - don't sail kite beach/lowers for a few days - 13363 may be coming back.
