Your group could also FOI the CRD for further information held by them on the topic . If they have a similar policy to provincial government, as long as your request is not to time consuming to prepare, it may be free of charge.

It is also a good practice not to go out further than you are comfortable swimming back to shore. I'm amazed at sometimes how far I have seen ppl out to sea at Cook Street. I really do not see the reason, as you don't need to go that far out to tack upwind efficiently.

This inspired me to go back and look at old photos. This was with my AR5 sometime in 2001 I think. Pre-twin tip as well. My friend used to shape windsurfers, so his first few board styles were like mini windsurfer boards.

The crappy road, toilets and no water is what keeps the crowd down and stops it turning into a tourist gong show. I will gladly continue to pay $12 just to keep it as is..

Back home 2 kites + 1 bar + 1 pump all last about a year, after that things start falling apart or breaking. I never washed my gear though, so that probably didn't help.

The only problem is when it comes to selling your kites, it's more of a hassle to sell a kite without a bar.

Also watch what bar ...

Hey Fling, I'm the same specs as you and last season* (Apr to Sep) I just used a 9m 2011 SwitchBlade with a twintip and that worked great.


*a bit warmer time of year...

Has the water temp warmed up a bit yet? I was there about a month ago and it still felt like cook st water temp to me... Does it actually get any warmer?
