I built one out of my old skateboard about 15 years ago. I sailed it a few times in parking lots. I gave it up though after the guy in front of me sailing his similar contraption busted his femur. Seems he hit a pebble stopping his board in an instant. Asphalt is not as forgiving as water. My land b...

I was talking to a float plane pilot from Kenmore Air on the way to Seattle about a year and a half ago. She was saying the pilots on that carrier use this site frequently as it spans the border. Support from the float plane industry would be much appreciated in running the site as well.

A 30 cm long piece of hockey stick with two holes spaced about 2 cm apart works well for downhauling. You can even smash a phillips and flat head drill bit in each end for screwing in fins and vent plugs.

Johnny has been a fixture and an inspiration in the Victoria windsurfing and kitting community since the beginning. His stoke for life, warm smile, and huge airs will truly be missed.

I've got access to scrap reflective peel and stick traffic sign sheeting for your boards/helmets. If anyone is interested send me an email and I'll hook you up with some. Works great for your bike as well.

Depends on the type of board. The old Mistral mast tracks and bases were a bit of a hassel. Simpliest to just cut out the old track and glue in with a chinook mast track. $40 bucks and about 3 hours work.

Before anyone goes out and buys a gas powered motor they should be aware that they'd only be allowed to operate it in their driveway or living room. Although I'd only do that for a short time though because those little engines pump massive amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere. Motor Assisted Cycles (...
