I'm also switching from Slingshot and have had the same experience that I could get up on foil in light wind but it was always a one way trip ddw. Great to know its the gear and not my technique :p

Aj what did you end up buying?

I just bought an HPS1050 with 400 freeride rear, ultra short fuse, and 82 cm aluminum mast. Hoping this setup works for me in 10-25 knts.

Idono seems kinda gimmicky to me, how many people are going to fork out for multiple masts and fuses for a quick wing switch when conditions change?

Would love to try the albatross, where are you located?

I remember hearing in a video from the most recent AWSI trade show that the wings only put like 7 Ibs of pressure on the hook so the harness doesn't need to be very robust. Cutting a hook out of HDPE/ cutting board is a great idea!
