I believe Kus may have experienced one of these Qualicum winds for his last session. You got to be on them fast cause they can shut off just as fast!

Love the shots from your heli Tim! Since you live so close to the beach at San Pareil hope to see you down there flying soon! I would be curious to see how strong a wind you can fly in?

While the GMC is a nice van the roof design sucks for carrying windsurf gear unless you don't mind having it all inside. Would be better suited for a kiter.

If you can afford gas these are comfy for the lake. Makes weekend getaways easier then tenting too.

Right out at the point at SP would be nice too. So we wouldn't have to rely on Ballenas readings. It can be way windier at Ballenas at times so doesn't always help. It would provide more accurate readings for most wind directions at SP.

Not sure how serious "I" was when "I "suggested doing this but when someone says "Oh this I have to see! Let me get you a chair." you kind of have to go through with it. After or during happy hour anything is possible! :D Sadly...one unfinished Gin and Tonic was spilled...

I think he was still sailing till a few short years ago. Not fair for anyone so active and health conscious to have their life cut short by d...

Gwind, the post with the weather station mounted to it may be in concrete and doesn't look at all rotten....except at the top. Not sure about under the ground. It certainly doesn't feel like it is in any danger of falling over soon. But go ahead and replace it anyway...if you want!
