Ya that's me in the Avatar. I don't know how it got there though. I figure it must have been BWD. Good work Dave (or whoever it was) that finally gave me an avatar. Zippy (aka Glen) is a long time slalom racer. I'll see if I can look him up. He's the guy that has a lot at Nitinat and the cat sailing...

Hey Bobson, I'm still keen... WIRED is no longer as a result of the key organizer having multiple kids. Other reasons include the Ministry of Forests not permitting commercial events and organized "races". The Sunday slalom series was offically just "a bunch of friends sailing around ...

No kidding eh, last year we really dropped the ball on the racing thingy. I guess I should have picked it up after Betts had another kid. Sudal (Tweezer) and I would be into big gear weekend sailing with anyone any time its between 10 and 25 knotts. 721-2405. Dunkinguy, DWD and I are heading up to l...

The van does belong to the dude that has allowed us to put a camera in his widow. Just leave cash under the wipper blade.

A 38 cm fin is a little small for a 7.5. I'd guess something like a 55-60 cm fin might work a little better for you. Also, make sure your fin is tight and flush with the bottom of your board when you install it. Shim it with a pop can if it isn't.

Agreed, Nitinat does not need amenities like flush toilets, garbage disposal, and individual numbered campsites like other Provincial and private camp sites. I like Nitinat just the way it is. I believe the “Upset Camper” does raise a valid issue though. If Nitinat doesn’t have the amenities, what a...

Wind Dudes and Divas, Well yesterday and this morning there is a nice fogbank of the Southwest Coast of Vancouver Island so it is going to be windy in the Juan de Fuca Strait. That is the good news for today. The bad news is that a trough of Low pressure is forecast to form right over the southern e...

Having moved to Victoria from Vancouver 4 years ago I'd have to say Victoria is the place to be. Let there never be a bridge between us!

Re: Nitnat water temp

I'm looking for advice on exposure suit for windsurfing Nitnat this summer. What's the water/air temp? I heard you need to wear a life jacket to windsurf in certain places in Canada, is this true? is this enforced at Nitnat? Hope not. I'm moving to the island and I'm hoping on spending some...

Ross Bay

Yup, that was a pretty sweet day at Ross Bay. It was a nice combo having the 5.9 on the slalom board and 9.8 with the wind so mixed up like that. Hey Bobson, when Paul fixes up your 9.0 and makes you an adjustable out haul Tweezer and I would be happy to show you how to go down hill like that. Also,...
