Arrived for the late shift. Was full of energy and spent a decent amount of time on the inside trying to land a Flaka in the lighter wind. Couldnt do it after about 20 attempts- came close once or twice. Went to the outside and sent a few big ones and finally got one. Great session - fully powered and might have something new cooking! Maybe 3 days in a row tomorrow?

First day on new setup . Advance ultrashort. Sp1030 and 350 progressive tail. So much fun and carves so sharp. Great glide too. Was a good session. I'm still wondering why axis didn't do a longer track box or move if further forward. I'm all the way forward and standing way behind the rear foot strap mounts.

Aaaaaah, so nice! Steady winds, consistently powered, and surrounded by talented wingers to try and emulate. Fantastic two session day. I stayed in the bay since there was lots of wind right in there. My 6m was occasionally OP'd, particularly the further outside I got. That was 4m territory. I had a gun in a knife fight. It felt harder to lift late in the second session and I called it a day. Just in time to watch the others slog/walk back.

Wow. Two days, two sessions. Showed up around 10:00 AM conditions were light so I decided to go out on a 5m just in case things didn't pick up. Everything picked up. Arguably overpowered for most of the session. Too lazy to go back and blow up a 4m because I had a small window. Had a rad session. Just continued to work on Jibes and surf. Conditions were much more straightforward than yesterday. Swell was also better.

Arrived at Clover with lots of wingers on the water and the rain clearing and sun popping out. Rigged the 7m and foil and hopped in. A little gusty and overpowered at times but nice to be on the water with the sun out. Spend some time on the Ross bay side and Clover pt, trying to find the best conditions. Overall a fun session.

Arrived at 9:45am to 9 Wings out already. WTF - seems like there are some keen Wingers. BTW, where is Mr. Keen.? Rigged up the 4.5m Flyer as it looked very similar to yesterday. All the Wings out seemed to be going well. Pretty sure most peeps were out today as it was great conditions. A bit light to begin with, maybe 12-15kts so had to pump the 4.5m to keep going out of my gybes then it picked up and stayed over 15kts for rest of the day. Saw everyone out on the cam when I woke up, oh no I'm missing it!! Got down there and it was easing up with lots of people off the water but still a few on the outside still flying. Rigged up the 5.5m, had to go try out the new toys - a new rear foil Skinny 365/55 and new Ion Hybrid Glove 1+2.5 !! Found it to be a weird day with low glaring sun on the outbound runs, wind was unusually south in it so ended up pointing more into the glare too for the time of day!! Great to be back at RBFC for some decent conditions. 5.0 was a good pick for today. A bit marginal for first half, stayed around the point where the wind was a bit stronger. Then it picked up and I did longer runs down into the bay and back out.
Completed one flying gybe and foot switch which felt good. Some progress there. Need more windy days out here by Pat Bay!

Quick session to dust the cobwebs off. First decent session with gloves on and arm pump was almost too much to handle after 45 mins. Been putting of wearing them and am paying the price. Few more sessions with them and should be good to go tho. WindDoc let me try his DragonFly - super fun. Feels like you get all the benefits of a small board with a higher volume. Came in to take my gloves off and head back out but the wind died right as i hit the shore. Hopefully more tomorrow.

I chose wrong. I should have followed Bobson's lead to head to RB. Just intermittent gusts to get up and foiling and then back down when the gust ended. It was just steady intermittentism. Too much work for a lazy ass like me. About 10 min out of 40 on foil - meh! It was warm though.....

I have a confession..... It's been 5 days since my last foiling sesh and I'm NOT feeling super stoked about the length of time between session. Anyways.....I arrived at 11:30am to Windoc rigging so I took a look because with Race being 30-40kts I was thinking CP might be a better choice for me. It's been a couple of weeks and it was worth the wait. Got onto the water around noon. Wind was gusty but missing full coverage. Bigger and bigger holes towards end of session. Glad I stuck to the 5m even though it was occasionally overpowered. Swell was zero when we started. By the time I was leaving we were starting to see a pattern emerge but things dropped off. Good to see Bobson, Doc, BWD, Tuna and others out on carving it up.

Wind came up late. Started underpowered on the 8m. Struggled for a while until it ramped up, then overpowered. Switched to the 5m just as the wind came off a bit. Cut the session short which turned out to be a good decision as the wind continued to lighten.

After last session getting Maytaged on the outside, was still a bit gunshy, so just played on the inside.
That time of year - i had to come in twice to dump hot water in the gloves.

Taking it all in!
Early start to use up all that wind. This session was about finding the best swell. Nice smoothies on the south end of the bay in a mild but consistent wind. The Cab 6.2 worked very well again.
Many thanks to MtnarG for convincing me to experience La Ventana, your local knowledge was priceless.

Another excellent warm light wind day. Idefix was first on the water. I was not far behind. Lots of nice wave riding. We finished just before the wind died. Almost 5 hours of foiling.

Started before noon. Wind was still a bit light, but Idefix and I got out early. It was nice to have the water to ourselves. As the thermal kicked in, more people joined us. The wind never really got strong, so I stuck with the 8m. I was having so much fun working on gybes and riding the small swell I stayed on the water for the whole 4.5 hours without a break. Finally quit when the wind started to get a bit lighter at 4:30 pm. Best day ever![/b]

Decided to check out CP as the Willows webcam looked pretty average but lots of 8-10kts on the latest reports and I was bored and didn't want to have to put up anymore xmas lights. Arrived to 6-12kts with some sailboats out by Jemmy Jones that were healed over so decided to rig the 1000cm2 front foil and the 7.0m Sailworks Flyer (aka - Session Saver). Got out and had to schlog for 5 until a 10kt gust came along and foiled out past Jemmy Jones where there were some 10-12kts gusts coming through with caps out ... (more)

Excellent session. Pretty close to a best day ever. Nice little gusts to help get up on the foil. Small swells to play in. Idefix was showing off as usual. It was supposed to be a no-win day, and it turned out to be better than the day before.

More 6 than 10 but a few gusts that were enough. Good warmth and no gloves. Rupp-Dogg cheered from shore. Good Pumpy-Pump practice. Lots of RVYC sailing craft out. Hoping for another 2-3 kts tomorrow.
