Nice while it lasted. Didn't make it out early enough to get well offshore. Wobbling in lulls but a couple of nice runs. Almost made one gybe.

Nailed that session! Arrived early, rigged and sailed. Solid 5.5/95L (probably 5.0, but thanks to David Ezzy's magic tuning....), picking up for some decent reaches with the 85L NHW. Eventually, 5.5 was too much, so I rigged the 5.0 to watch the wind die (dead). Some sailors swam in....

Prettty much nailed the timing on this short window of wind. Missed about 30 minutes of possible sailing time. Great swell...great wind right into the beach...too bad it stay a litte longer.

Hat Trick :P Wicked timing today, got on the 5.8, planing on second run, downrigged to 4.8 20 later & never looked back. Solid sailing throughout w/mega downpours & heavy gusts at times. Nice odd waverides & ramps. Stayed well offshore @end to milk the S-switching wind. Loads of new sailors out trying themselves, nice to see 8) The cam didn't do it justice, much better than it looked  but hole of death near shore sucked up some newbies

Light for sure, great sailing in the sun & gusts, pumping for rides mostly tho. Staying dry was the ticket w/ my perforated drysuit :? Missionary gybes all the way  Stopped after 1hr to get fingertips back on line, amazing how much pain can come from those :x Great waves, no power to really ride them but they helped getting on plane as opposed to kelp beds & eel grass  Try to get THAT off in marginal conditions when you don't wanna get wet

Good to be out on the water. A little sleepy after night shift...I can sleep monday during class. Nice to try the FREAK out, it felt good but a wee bit overpowered ( way overpowered )shoud have been on the 5.0 but the freak is brand new! Felt verry rusty I think that I have to take a windsurfing 101 course. Few completed jibes and fewer good jumps more like survival mode for me. Great to see a big group of windsurfers out this time of year and some new faces for Kook :D .

:DNice to get back on the water after 6 wks. of no sailing. A bit up and down at first then got steadier later and then suddenly died at noon as the cloud moved over the water. Felt kind of rusty and out of shape at first but eventually got in the groove. Finished the session off with a nice relaxing 1/2 hr. swim back to shore, the price of going out one last time.

WOW......was that fun!! So glad we opted to give Cook St. a try........wasn't expecting those conditions locally today....... And...... the timing was perfect. Exciting waves but for once no problems getting out through the shorebreak thanks to my nice little rig and board. OP at times in the gusts but still managed to do one walk of shame after my initial run. Finding that extremely inconvenient I stayed upwind thereafter! Okay .....it was only another two runs. Sure lose strength fast in cooler conditions ... (more)

Great session! Started of alternating between the 5.5 and 4.7. Toasty warm, landed a few clean forwards, close on some backs, landed one slidey vulcan. Saw BWD toss a nice delayed forward and some shuvit attempts, and Morewind was spinning as well. Had the first sail on my new 4.7 SF. Needs diff mast :x but worked ok anyway. Eyes feel medium-well done by the water glare. Need some of Andrei's evil contact lenses!

:D Felt great to be back on the board after a 2+ month hiatus!! Wind was stong, and I could have been on a smaller sail, although it was light at times in the bay. Mostly just tried to remember how to hang on. Lots of sun, didn't even feel the chill until back on the beach again. Lots of inquisitive spectators on the beach. Nice to have hot drinks on the beach...although it sure would have been nice to have a warm shower! Gonna have to get that wind wagon up here.

Fun day! Great head on ramps at first and then it got a little lumpy. Gusty then steadied out later on. Morewind and Winddoc taking full advantage of the head on ramps. Good to see so many people out. Big black cloud rolled in around noon shutting things off abruptly. Lots of swimmers, then the ambulance, police and the US coast guard showed up as soon as everyone reached the shore. Classic Cook. More please.

hangover after yesterday ( must be getting old thing ), first 10 min jumping like a grasshopper, getting ready to do IT, then the wind realy came up, by the time I rigged up 4.5 it was down again, small walk of shame and the sea became screwy after that.... too late damn!

Sailing hangover is not fun, but fun at the same time. I should have stayed away from that last beer last night.

Good little session at point with some good waist high sets. Big Air Ramps off the swell going out. Sailed with Tom. Good Times!! Just wish I got up at 6 am and was out for sunrise wind. :)

Thank God the data was promulgated!!

What an AMAZING day :!: My body just wouldn't play along unfortunately, meds screwing me into autopilot riding  No strength or coordination but tried a lame backie for fun, great waves :P Left when I would have had to re-rig anyhow when gusting 30+ made me park a few times  Usual suspects and then some out having a blast. Lotsa new sailcloth getting shown off 8)

Crappy conditions never felt sooooooo gooood!  (well over two months since I was in straps). Missed the best wind, got the last of it, pumped to a plane, fell on the gybe, slogged back. Out again on the next puff, repeat, except I ran completely out of wind and the tide was trying to take me out to sea faster than I could swim. Contemplated trying to derig & roll sail to get back. Zephyr came along just enough wind I could uphaul and slog. Chatted on the beach, wind went west, then b ... (more)

I forgot that on foggy days the the fixed cloud that forms over the s. end of James I. is a great indicator of wind ! When the cloud faded today so did the wind. Inverted fifth line loop to swim !!! Should have come in when Larry did. I could hear the laughter.

Fun for 25 minutes of planing on big'er gear with Keen(er), Big D, Shred Betty, Windwoman and even an appearance by BWD himself. Not quite 5.5able dood. More beach chat than sailing though. Morley almost got taken out to sea on his 108 litre board. Betten than a kick in the pants though. Maybe more sailing again next month. See ya after Bermuda!! :D
