:? Not too bad, but not too inspiring. 5/6 kites out were flat kites, 4 Ocean Rodeo and one Ozone. The wind could not be steadier, and not a single gust or hole. That said, it was pretty light. Ross was doing kite loops and Jan was actually getting decent air, surprising since it was so light. Rode barefoot - love it!

Day 10 Hatch started pretty lame so nailed monkeys after MANY attempts, made 6, 3 clean 8) yippee. When wind hit hard, made my way back w/flat 4.7. Serious hatred after bailing hard on slippery rocks, bounced all of board, knee, elbow, some damage so I Kussed hard & dished out hate all over the place, at least one backloop attempt per tack, 2 close :twisted: inspiring company out there :!: It helps to be pissed off :evil:

Another "Big Gear" day at the lake. Still it was sailable from about 12:30 to 6:00 pm on anything from about 7.0 and up. Got out for a couple of hours on the GO and Ezzy 8.5. Man am I ever getting my moneys worth on that sail! A rain squall came through at about 6:30pm then the sky cleared from the SW. Beaut!!

Nasty gusts to start, big holes, filled in later. Got out and changed only to be egged on to go out as the lone video ranger :oops: Phat got some nice shots, as did Dave, thx guys. Great final 45 minutes, chop hopped a buoy and sliced off a piece :twisted: 5 backie attempts, one ok rotation, fastest ducks ever in the flat water behind the island, wicked day, full on power in ripping gusts :twisted:

The day started out well, it was a little light and the biggest kite I brought with me was my 12m, so out on the water I went and was a little underpowered and eventually ended up downwind. Instead of landing the kite I decided to walk up the beach with it in the air. I was almost back at the launch sight when a lull hit and my kite ended up in the trees...Ahhh...it was atleast 30ft up on this ironwood tree :oops: . started the day scraping paint off window frames :( then, a quick check on the webcams and HOLY - IV is going off :!: ladders pulled down, gear loaded... started on the 5.0 and had lots of fun with Winddoc charging the reef at low tide hoping for loopable waves. :D after 2 hrs on the 5.0 I switched up to the 6.0 for another hour. The 6.0 felt like a bear.
the webcam was a life saver today. would never have known it was windy at IV without it. THANKS BWD :!:

Best session to date, tons of kites out. started on the directional, but after a few runs broke a footstrap. I've been using the big board for a while, and when I switched to the smaller board... WOW! It was easier to keep less board in the water. Now I can't wait to try the new board.

The day that had it all. Started at about 1 on the 8.5/GO and had some great runs for about an hour. Switched to the 6.0/121 then 5.3/95 and back to the 6.0/121 which I stuck with even through the ruthless gusts. At 5:30 or so, I grabbed the 8.5/Go for another half hour of low wind - speed runs. All in all a pretty good day. Had loads of fun but still can't plane out of the gybe!!!

Day 7: A light wind day, mostly slogging around catching waves on the way in. A few decent rides but not much power on the wave. Felt like a big light wind JR day.
